Thinking about having children?
Having children is a big decision and you need to be ready and educated about the subject. It is possible to schedule an appointment with one of our midwives to discuss having children and all that it entails. She will discuss your personal and family health history and possible risk factors during the pregnancy and will advise you on everything related to becoming and being pregnant.
To schedule an appointment contact us during business hours: Mondays 10-12 and 13-17, Tuesdays 8-12 and 13-17 and Wednesdays 8-13. Contact your Health Insurance provider to make sure these costs will be covered.
Start taking folic acid tablets when you are trying to conceive up until the 10th week of your pregnancy. This will help prevent birth defects to the brain and spinal cord. Folic acid tablets are available over the counter (without a prescription) at your pharmacy or drugstore.
Try to schedule an intake appointment as soon as you find out you are pregnant. You do not need to consult your GP (General Practitioner) beforehand. The first appointment with your midwife will take place about nine weeks into your pregnancy and will last 40 minutes or so. You can use the registration form or contact us during business hours: Mondays 10-12 and 13-17, Tuesdays 8-12 and 13-17 and Wednesdays 8-13. We strive to contact you within three working days when you have admitted your registration form digitally. You will also receive a confirmation email. You can also use the registration form to apply for 'after care'.
